Editorial Policy
How we research, verify, and publish our insurance appeal content.
Our Mission
ClaimBack exists to help people fight unfair insurance claim denials. We believe that every policyholder deserves access to the regulatory knowledge and legal frameworks that can help them win their appeal — regardless of income, location, or legal expertise.
Data Sources & Methodology
Our content draws on data from 10,847+ real insurance claim denial cases across 100+ countries. We reference primary regulatory sources including:
- United States: ACA, ERISA, CMS Transparency in Coverage data, state insurance department filings
- Singapore: MAS notices, FIDReC guidelines, CCRP procedures
- United Kingdom: FCA rules, Financial Ombudsman Service decisions
- Australia: AFCA determinations, PHIO guidelines
- And 96+ additional country-specific regulatory frameworks
When we cite statistics, we link to the primary source. When we reference appeal success rates, we cite published research from organisations such as KFF, HealthAffairs, and government regulators.
Editorial Standards
- Accuracy
- All regulatory references are verified against primary government and regulator sources before publication. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.
- Timeliness
- We update our guides when regulations change. Articles display both the original publication date and the last-modified date.
- Independence
- ClaimBack is not affiliated with any insurance company, law firm, or healthcare provider. Our revenue comes from our appeal letter tool, not from insurance industry relationships.
- Fact vs. analysis
- When we provide data, we label it as data. When we provide our analysis or recommendations, we label it as such.
AI Disclosure
ClaimBack uses artificial intelligence in two ways:
- Appeal letter generation: Our core product uses AI to generate insurance appeal letters, drawing on regulatory databases and denial pattern analysis. Every letter cites real regulations and is designed for human review before submission.
- Content creation: Some of our blog content is created with AI assistance. All AI-assisted content is reviewed by our editorial team for accuracy, regulatory correctness, and clarity before publication.
Corrections Policy
If we publish an error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date of correction and what was changed. If you believe any of our content contains an error, please contact us at support@claimback.app.
