Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA)
Federal law requiring group health plans to cover mental health and substance use disorder services no more restrictively than medical/surgical benefits. If your plan covers 10 physical therapy sessions, it generally cannot limit mental health therapy to fewer sessions.
