1. Who We Are
ClaimBack ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered document drafting service that helps you write insurance appeal letters. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Our service is available at claimback.app.
2. What Data We Collect
When you use ClaimBack, we may collect: (a) Claim information you voluntarily provide โ country, insurer name, treatment type, denial reason, and any supporting text you enter. (b) Contact information you optionally provide โ WhatsApp number, Telegram handle, or email address. (c) Technical data โ IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention only), browser type, and device type. We do not collect your name, home address, passport, or financial account details.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to: generate your personalised insurance appeal letter using AI; improve the quality of our AI responses; prevent abuse of our API (rate limiting); and respond to your support requests if you contact us. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Data Storage
Your claim data is processed in real-time and transmitted to Anthropic (our AI provider) via their API. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to their processing. Your results and payment status are stored locally in your browser's localStorage โ not on our servers. We do not maintain a database of user claims.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to remember your session, payment status, and Case ID so you can retrieve your results after a Stripe redirect. This data is stored only on your device and expires after 24 hours of inactivity. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: Anthropic (AI processing โ anthropic.com/privacy), Stripe (payment processing โ stripe.com/privacy), Vercel (hosting โ vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy), and optionally Sentry (error monitoring โ sentry.io/privacy/). Each provider has their own privacy policy.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR (EU/UK), PDPA (Singapore), CCPA (California), or other applicable laws. These include: the right to access data we hold about you; the right to deletion; the right to object to processing. Since we do not maintain a database of claim data, most of your data exists only in your browser. To exercise any rights or for any privacy questions, contact us at privacy@claimback.app.
8. Data Retention
We do not store your claim content on our servers. Your browser localStorage data expires after 24 hours of inactivity. Stripe retains payment records according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
9. Children
ClaimBack is not directed at children under 16. If you are under 16, please do not use our service without parental consent.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of ClaimBack after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
